SUPERVISION & TRAINING
Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuing Medical Education are essential to acquiring and maintaining scientific and clinical expertise in Forensic Psychiatry.
The Broadway Forensic Group is committed to advancing Forensic Psychiatry education. All the forensic psychiatry consultants in our practice are Clinical Faculty with the UBC Division of Forensic Psychiatry. The Broadway Forensic Group is a designated Training Site for the UBC Forensic Psychiatry Residency Training Program.
The forensic psychiatry consultants in the Broadway Forensic Group provide teaching, training, and supervision to UBC psychiatry residents about the forensic assessment role. Consequently, the Courts, lawyers, and other parties making referrals to the Broadway Forensic Group, should be aware that we routinely request consent for our Resident Doctors to join and observe Plaintiff or Evaluee interviews occurring at our office location or by video conferencing platform.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION & TEACHING
The Forensic Psychiatry Consultants in the Broadway Forensic Group are involved in providing teaching and education to stakeholder groups including the courts, lawyers, and tribunals.
